BBN Integrated - the Company

Background

Health and education are essential prerequisites for a society to develop. The health worker population ratio in Uganda is about 1.87 per 1000 population. This is significantly less than the WHO recommendations of 2.5 per 1000 population. Uganda must also take steps to catch up with the midfield in terms of education. The population in Uganda is aware of these deficits. With its young population, the country has the potential and the desire to remedy these deficits.

The market analysis shows that the demand for education and health services is particularly high in Nakasongola, as this city has been selected by the government as a new center for administrative and economic activities. The vision of BBN Integrated is to support government efforts to strengthen education and health outcomes. BBN Integrated, a joint venture between investors from Switzerland and Uganda, is particularly suited to implementing these plans. As an employer, BBN Integrated is guided by the management philosophy that happy and well-motivated employees are the best guarantee that our services will meet our high standards and satisfy the needs of both customers and other stakeholders. On this basis, BBN Integrated plans to become profitable within five years with investments of USD 3.5 million. The community benefits from this project not only through the health services offered and the more than 600 students who are trained each year, but also through the 100 jobs that are created in the region.

Over years, the shareholders for BBN Integrated have been carefully studying the Uganda and neighbouring country to understand consumers’ perspectives regarding health and learning (educational) needs. BBN Integrated is designing a comprehensive education and health facility that will enable parents and consumers of health to optimize utilization, improve health and learning outcomes, and enhance consumer experience  in the fields.
